Our doors have been open to the public since the year 2000 when Phil decided to take the leap from years of butchery managing to owning his own shop.
Starting off small and growing the family business meant that he quickly needed more staff. His late father John became the delivery driver, superseded by Phil's wife Anita, who also started helping with the day to day runnings of the shop. Both Phil's children had Saturday jobs within the business and as always it is all hands on deck at Christmas.
As word got out about the quality of produce and service provided it was time for another butcher to help share the load. Phil trained his future son in law Dan up, who now helps manage the shop with Phil. So when we say it is a family business, we mean it is a family business.
We know most of our customers and their families by name building up years of rapport and we are always welcoming new faces too. Come and visit us to see the friendly atmosphere for yourselves and take a look at a real traditional butchers shop.
Trade
We are proud to supply some of the best independent restaurants in Sheffield including Mamas and Leonies, Sette Colli and The Sitwell Arms Hotel to name a few.
We also supply our local school Lydgate Infants meaning the local children are fed a good quality meal for their school dinners, no turkey twizzlers in sight.
Sheffield Royal Blind Society and its twinned care home has also been supplied by us for the past 15 years plus.
The same fantastic produce is used both for the shop as well as for our restaurants and care homes to ensure consistency throughout. We often have customers frequent our shop asking for the same steak they had over the road at Papa Ciccios the other night.

We offer a butchery experience available on request where you will get to learn all about this craftsmanship first hand and keep the meat that you prepare.
