Q. How long do you mature your meat for?
All our beef is hung in the fridge for a minimum of 28 days to ensure the best possible flavour has time to develop in a controlled environment.
Q. Where do you source your produce?
We source our produce within a 30 mile radius of the shop itself. This allows for low food miles as well as a close relationship with our suppliers ensuring full traceability. We regularly buy award winning lambs out of Bakewell in Derbyshire, so you can be sure of our quality assurance.
Q. Do you buy prepackaged meat?
Being traditionally skilled butchers, we buy whole carcasses and butcher most things on site using our craftsmanship.
Q. Do you sell fresh fish?
We sell fresh fish to order, simply give us a call the day before and we can have your fish order ready the next working day. We do not keep fish in stock as we would need seperate refrigeration and display counters for cross contamination purposes.
Q. Are your sausages homemade?
Yes, we make all of our own sausages and burgers on site so we can provide the best quality produce to our customers.
Q. Do you sell sandwiches?
We sell a variety of hot and cold sandwiches as well as cups of tea and coffee. We have a seperate preparation area that allows us to do so.
Q. Do you provide a guarantee?
We are that sure of our produce that we offer a 100% guarantee. If you are not happy with your purchase then simply bring it back to the shop and we will give you your money back or an exchange.
